St. Cloud Blue Sox began in 2006 with one 11-year-old and under team. With the help of many committed parents serving as volunteers, the program expanded in 2007 to five teams at various age levels. This expansion allowed over 60 kids the opportunity to challenge themselves to become better baseball players, better athletes and better people by playing competitive baseball.

In the 2008 season, St. Cloud Blue Sox had six teams in five age groups with three teams winning division titles and one winning it's league championship.

St. Cloud Travel Baseball was incorporated in January 2008 and the program was recognized as a non-profit agency through the IRS in late March 2008.
